My first blog post ever.

So I'm new to this blog thing. I've been "stalking" several people on their blogs in recent months and decided I would start my own. There's not much to us so I'm sure this will be quite boring. Perhaps it'll be a way for Jerome's family in Italy to keep up with what's going on with us. Who knows. All I know is that some days I need an outlet or I may burst. What better way than this? Like yesterday for example: It started off like any other day with Jerome leaving for work while I'm getting ready. I go to wake the kids at the usual time. This week is spirit week at Peyton's school so mornings have taken us a little longer than usual this week. She wasn't ready to get out of bed so I proceed to Max's room. I walked in and well, those of you with kids will understand this, the smell alone in that room made me want to run. So I'm preparing myself to change a lovely poopy diaper first thing. I was very ill prepared for what I was about to encounter. It seems that Max had himself a nice little upset stomach over night. Diapers are not made for an all nighter of poop. So as I'm taking off his PJ's I notice poop up to his neck. Not only was it up to his neck but it was on the bottom of his feet! Oh yes, this was the poop to end all poop people! So, now we're off to a pretty rotten start. I had to carry him straight to the tub and just dump him right in. Poor kid is terribly afraid of the running bathwater. Not sure what that's all about but apparently he was traumatized as an infant by running bathwater. Ha! Anyway, so between him trying to jump out of the tub and me trying to keep him in while dumping cups of water down his back it was turning out to be quite the morning. We finally got that all cleaned up, Peyton got up and dressed and out the door we went. I pretty much wanted to scream and cry and laugh all at the same time. I decided to laugh, because really what else can you do, and go on about my day. Had I had a little blog to turn to yesterday I could have vented about the poop and how I vowed to quit motherhood altogether and moved on. So here I sit today, starting my very own blog. Hopefully it will help prevent any future meltdowns. :) Feel free to give me any tips/advice/pointers.
